Elliott Gonzo

Elliott Gonzo is a director with a distinctive, hyperreal storytelling style that blends surreal details with dark humor, transforming the mundane into a seductive yet dystopian otherness. Originally from Bath and raised in London and Surrey, he studied production design at Arts University Bournemouth, where he developed an obsession with creating alternate realities and hyperrealism. His work spans across music videos, commercials, and narrative filmmaking, earning him recognition on platforms such as Directors Library, It’s Nice That, Nowness, Another Man, Booooooom, Directors Notes, 1.4, and the Shiny Awards. Elliott has collaborated with artists like Meduza, Tom Walker, Wargasm, Enter Shikari, and Nothing But Thieves, while directing commercial work for brands including Ciroc Vodka, Tate Modern, Red Bull, Nowness, Dazed, NICCE, and Monster Energy. His short films ‘Hard Times,’ ‘Sour Milk,’ and ‘Yeast’ have been screened at BAFTA-qualifying festivals and received international awards. Most recently, he completed his debut feature documentary, ‘Tight: The World of Indian Bodybuilding.’ With a growing reputation for creating immersive, visually arresting worlds, Elliott continues to push boundaries in contemporary filmmaking.
