BIO
Jennifer Sheridan is an accomplished TV director and editor from South London. She discovered her passion for film at the BRIT School and began her career as a self-taught editor, gaining respect in the entertainment industry with her work on popular shows such as The League of Gentlemen, Cuckoo, and Gogglebox.
Drawn to high-concept ideas, Jennifer has a keen eye for performance, pacing and a good punch line. She is an accomplished TV Director with critically acclaimed titles under her belt: from children’s fantasy, The Snow Spider, aired on CBBC to the hard-hitting drama Rules of the Game, starring Maxine Peake and Alison Steadman.
Recently, Jennifer directed two back-to-back series of the Disney+ and Hulu superhero comedy Extraordinary, both of which hold a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Extraordinary won the Broadcast Digital Award and the Royal Television Society Award for Best Scripted Comedy, with the first series also being nominated for a BAFTA for Best Comedy.
Jennifer’s debut horror feature, Rose: A Love Story, written by and starring Matt Stokoe, alongside Sophie Rundle, premiered at the 2020 BFI London Film Festival to positive reviews, including a four-star rating from the Evening Standard. The film was long-listed for four BIFAs, nominated for the Raindance Discovery Award, and won Best Feature at the Barnes Film Festival in 2021. Jennifer was also nominated for the New Visions Award for Rose at the 2021 Sitges Film Festival.
