Ian Derry crafted his creative career in photography. He has been lucky enough to photograph some of the film industry’s most recognisable faces, including Martin Scorsese, Brad Pitt, Ewan Mcgregor, Helena Bonham-Carter & Micheal Caine. His incredible knack for capturing the character behind the personality forged a further career in advertising and editorial sports, Fashion and music photography - Noel Gallagher, Ed Sheeran, David Gandy, Usain Bolt.
His impressive portfolio of high-profile portraiture ultimately led him to explore film, and what it means to capture the essence of the character in motion. His feature-length broadcast documentary for Netflix, ‘Hold Your Breath: The Ice Dive’, was released to great acclaim and nominated for 2 Emmy Awards and a BAFTA TV award.
