We’re thrilled to welcome director David Moench and cinematographer Justin Herrera to The Village, as Deep Dish joins our Park Village Originals slate. Created by the duo, Deep Dish is a visually rich documentary series that explores the cultural, environmental, and emotional layers behind traditional dishes from remote communities around the world. Each episode focuses on a single location — from the Arctic Circle to the Sahara, Okinawa to Jamaica — revealing how food reflects identity, resilience, and sustainability. Through intimate storytelling, striking cinematography, and a blend of documentary and archival techniques, Deep Dish uncovers the powerful relationship between community and environment by diving into the local ingredients of one dish. More than a food show, it’s a celebration of cultural heritage and a reflection on our shared humanity in a rapidly changing world.

Blending cinematic craft with a strong sense of purpose, Deep Dish embodies the kind of bold, globally-minded storytelling we’re proud to champion at Park Village.
